Decode the complete laboratory board, connect the ingredient chains, and follow the heated elixir recipe.

Assisting in Alchemy: Decode the Board and Make the Elixir

Read the board as three small systems—numbers, directions, and liquids—then use those meanings to open the boxes, make the ingredients, and follow the book’s recipe. The final green mixture is the task’s completion signal.

Decode the board from nearby clues

The numeric clues establish 2 from the two-finger painting, 4 from the house windows, and 5 from watering the parrot; 1 is already marked, leaving 3 for the remaining one-dot tile. The direction symbols come from the soldier, floor box, and sibling painting. The candle marks heat; the river painting means water; the grinder represents blood and juice; the distillation apparatus identifies oil and acid.

Use the symbol meanings to open the arrow box with left, left, right, right, left, right, and the pink cabinet with 2451. The cabinet supplies empty beakers for the pumps.

Make the liquids and egg

For oil, put a beaker under the outlet, press the left pump twice and the middle pump three times, then collect it. For acid, use a fresh beaker, press the right pump four times and the left once, then collect that output.

Give acid to Aldous for the meat. Put it in the grinder and pull the lever four times for blood. Water the plant four times, add one blood drop, take the fruit, and grind it four times for juice. Give the parrot five water drops to get an egg. These are separate item chains; an empty container is needed for each collection.

Follow the book’s order

Light the heat source, then add the egg first. Add one juice, one acid, one oil, and three blood in that order. Take the green elixir to Aldous and give it to him to finish the task.

If the mixture does not turn green, check the beakers and quantities against the book before trying again. The supplied sources establish the recipe and accepted result; they do not document a general recovery action for a wrongly mixed bottle.
